Radford receives French honour

Director of the National Gallery of Australia, Ron Radford, has been awarded France’s highest cultural honour.

Mr Radford was today named a member of the Order of Arts and Letters during a ceremony held at the French embassy in Canberra.

Mr Radford was touched by the honour, having always been an admirer of the French culture.

"It's my great pleasure and privilege to be able to help make French art and culture more accessible to a great number of Australians," he said.
