Morrison: Indigenous housing overhaul needed

Scott Morrison, the shadow minister for housing and local government, has said that Indigenous housing across Australia is in dire need of being fixed.

Mr Morrison is currently visiting remote communities in central Australia to see the situation first hand.

“The layer upon layer upon layer of bureaucracy and control is not working, will not work and needs to be massively overhauled if we're going to make any dent on that process and put to good use the public monies that have been made available," he said.

"And that's not happening at the moment and I can't see my way with this government to see how it will be done.”
