Rudd shows his support

The AFL grand final parade was in full swing in Melbourne today, with fans turning out in their thousands to see the players from St Kilda and Geelong before the match tomorrow.

Both of this year’s grand final teams are in high spirits despite predictions of inclement weather; St Kilda being the crowd favourite for tomorrows decider, not having won a premiership since 1966.

Even Prime Minister Kevin Rudd weighed in on the debate, saying “I have an appallingly bad record recently, so I’m very reluctant to put the mockers on people”.

“Having said that, I have a deep affection for the good people of Geelong, so that’s where I’ll be lending my support”.
