Rann: international uni eyes Adelaide (Wednesday 23 September 2009) South Australian Premier Mike Rann today signed an agreement partnering Adelaide University with the Washington Post owned Kaplan University, a move that aims to create another 5000 university places for students in Adelaide from 2011. Kaplan will be following the trend of other international institutions such as Carnegie Mellon and Cranfield who are also now located in Adelaide. At the signing, Rann spoke of “bringing together a world-class Australian university… with one of the world’s biggest, most innovative education providers”. “Kaplan will provide local and international students with a wide range of study options."
