Toni Collette wins first Emmy

Toni Collette has won her first Emmy today for her role in The United States of Tara.

Collette won best outstanding actress in a comedy series, her first win after being nominated at both the Oscars and Emmys previously for The Sixth Sense and Tsunami: The Aftermath.

“Wow. This is insanely confronting,” she said while accepting her award in front of an audience of her peers.

“I'm so humble to be here in this room, let alone up on this stage.”
