Seebohm celebrates medley win (Monday 18 August 2008) Emily Seebohm along with Leisel Jones, Jess Schipper and Libby Trickett has celebrated a gold medal win and a new world record in the medley relay yesterday. Sixteen-year-old Seebohm began with an Australian record of 59.33 on the backstroke leg, managing to calm the nerves that had dashed her chances in the individual event. "I felt a little bit more pressure coming into this relay, just hoping that I'd make the team," the Brisbane schoolgirl said. "This was definitely the high of my meet — of any meet that I've actually ever done — and getting that gold medal and that world record was just an amazing feeling, and I hope we can do it again."
