Hackett: Beijing tainted by drug cheating

Captain of the Australian swimming team Grant Hackett has commented on the possibility of drug cheating at the Beijing Olympics.

Hackett is not the only athlete with this opinion, with the majority of Australia's Olympians believing that Beijing will be corrupted by drugs.

"We'd have our heads in the sand to think the Games will be clean and that gets my blood boiling more than anything else," Hackett said.

"To know I could be competing against someone who's gained an unfair advantage for the sake of greed and financial incentive bites. It would be completely naive to think these Olympics will be clean and there will be those athletes, including in my sport, who won't be able to resist cheating."
