McNamee sacked as Demons CEO (Wednesday 23 July 2008) Paul McNamee today revealed he has been dumped as Melbourne Football Club CEO, just four months after being appointed to the job. McNamee, the former Australian Tennis Open chief, was hired by now-ousted club chairman Paul Gardiner in April.
